Jared Roane is a seasoned professional with 25 years of extensive experience in the construction industry. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas for the past eight years, Jared’s journey in construction began as an apprentice to his uncle at a small HVAC firm. His dedication and passion for the construction field led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Weber State University, supplemented by a Spanish Language Minor.
Throughout his career, Jared has acquired notable registrations and certifications, including completion of the Comfort Systems USA Leadership Academy and Project Management Academy, as well as OSHA 30 certification. His expertise spans various aspects of construction, from estimation to project management, culminating in his current leadership role.
Outside of work, Jared finds joy in serving his local community through active involvement in his church. He balances his professional pursuits with personal interests such as golf, carpentry, bird watching, and exploring the mountains. Family remains a cornerstone of Jared’s life, as he cherishes over 22 years of marriage and the joy of raising three wonderful children. Jared Roane’s journey from apprentice to Director of Operations is a testament to his unwavering dedication, continuous learning, and passion for excellence in the construction industry.
Yvonne Cantu-Diaz, Vice President of Finance, has been with Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas since 2017. She has over ten years of experience in the construction industry and over 20 years of experience in the Accounting & Finance profession. Yvonne earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Edward’s University with a double major in Finance and Economics and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. She is active in the Young Hispanic Professional Association of Austin, Amigos for Education, and other volunteering commitments in her community. When away from work, Yvonne enjoys traveling, HIIT training, spending time with family, and engaging in other outdoor activities with her wife, Angela.
Kevin Benter, PE, Vice President of Preconstruction, has been with Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas since 2021. Kevin has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin—Platteville and an MBA from the University of Texas—San Antonio. Kevin is a State of Texas Licensed Professional Engineer and has been a part of the Comfort Systems USA Leadership Academy and Construction Academy. Kevin is involved in his community through the Dell Children’s Trust, and his wife Tammy is on the Board of Directors of the Breast Cancer Resource Center. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, gardening, biking, and shooting sports.
Scott Heun, President, joined the Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas team in 2023. He has over 23 years of experience in this industry and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Kansas State University. He also has been a part of the Comfort Systems USA Leadership Academy and Comfort Systems USA Construction Academy. Scott holds a master plumbing license in Kansas and Missouri. Scott is also involved with the ABC Workplace Development Committee in his community. Outside of work, he enjoys muscle cars, hunting, and sports. Scott played football for the Kansas State University Wildcats, where he helped his team remain in the Top 25 teams in the country, including a number six ranking in his senior year. His love for football started in high school, and he was later inducted into the Halstead High School Hall of Fame in 2016.
Ike Ingram, Vice President of Service, has been with Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas since 2020. He has over 26 years of experience in his profession and earned his bachelor’s in psychology from Southwest Texas. Ike values his community involvement and is the Executive Chair of the American Heart Association Cycle Nation Event. He also enjoys coaching softball and has been doing so for 15 years. In his time with Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas, he has been a part of the Comfort Systems USA Leadership Academy as well as the Sandler Sales Academy. Outside of work, Ike enjoys watching his four daughters compete in gymnastics and softball. He also enjoys golfing, wake surfing, and beach vacations with his family.
Ed Neal, Safety Director, started at Comfort Systems USA-Central Texas (MTECH) in 1991 and has over 42 years of experience in this profession. Ed is also one of the original owners of MTECH and has his Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License (TDLR), Texas Railroad Commission LPG ACR Contractor, Universal EPA Certificate, and OSHA 500. Ed is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop in his community. Outside of work, Ed enjoys snow skiing, raising cattle, and spending time with his wife of 36 years and their four adult children.
